A must where roller chain is used. This tool was designed to hold the chain in place on the sprockets while being repaired. Simply place hooks on rollers past opposite sides of link or links to be removed or replaced, then slack in the cable is taken up with a wrench until the chain between the hooks is relieved of tension. This will allow the operator to remove the link, or links, with a roller chain breaker. Then, insert a new master or replacement link, or links. The cable is released with the lock lever pawl and the tool is removed. Its that simple! |
